2nd Place in DAFx Challenge

One of the final project teams of my Spring 2026 course, CS448 Audio Computing Labs, won 2nd place in the inaugural challenge at DAFx Conference (Task A: estimation of physical parameters of a plate reverb model from its impulse response). Kudos to the team: Byunghoo (Brian) Park, Jayeon Yi, and Takyoung Kim!

I’m particularly proud of my PhD student Jayeon Yi for forming the team, designing the project, and leading the development of the algorithms. Also, the super-undergrad Brian did a great job as the first author and made many of his candidate solutions work.

Congratulations!
