The visit to Fraunhofer IIS and International Audio Labs in Erlangen was so inspiring and heartwarming. Introducing my neural audio coding works to the leading experts in audio coding was a thrilling experience. It was also great to catch up with Profs. Meinard Müller, Emanuël Habets, and Jürgen Herre and learn from their experiences on various audio research topics and on running their research teams. All the nice conversations with the teams specialized in various topics, such as TTS, scalable speech enhancement, neural speech and audio coding, MPEG-H, MPEG-I, MIR, and more! Many thanks to Guillaume Fuchs for hosting me and introducing me to everyone. Finally, it was great to talk to all the top audio researchers and brilliant students (although I couldn’t tag all of them here)!
