It was such a nice visit to Timo Gerkmann’s signal processing group at the University of Hamburg. I had a great time speaking with the bright students and researchers there, who kindly introduced me to their research and cool speech enhancement demos. The visit was very nicely organized, so I could finally meet Yossi Keshet in person and fill the “opening band” role by giving my talk on neural audio coding before his insightful talk on diffusion models. I appreciate Timo’s kind hospitality and inspiring leadership in the research field!
